Anushka's Vamika turns 3: Decoding her name

Going back, the couple had announced that their daughter is named Vamika and shared her first picture with the world. The name holds a deep meaning as it represents a form of the Hindu Goddess Durga and is derived from Vamadeva, the preserving aspect of Lord Shiva. Goddess Durga is also considered to be the divine counterpart of Lord Shiva. Taking to Instagram, Anushka Sharma had earlier expressed her joy and gratitude, stating that their lives have been filled with love, presence, and gratitude, and their little one, Vamika, has taken it to a whole new level. She also thanked everyone for their wishes, prayers, and positive energy during this special time.
