In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Rao emphasized her strategic use of Khan's fame to promote 'Laapataa Ladies,' which relies on every possible avenue to reach audiences due to its modest scale. The lead roles are played by Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam. Notably, the film was showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, with its trailer featured alongside Siddharth Anand's 'Fighter,' starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor.
