Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa detained

On June 11, Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was detained by Bangalore police in connection with the alleged murder of Renuka Swamy, a 33-year-old fan. Swamy, who reportedly posted derogatory comments about actress Pavithra Gowda, was found tortured and killed. Darshan and 11 others are in police custody as the investigation continues.
