In 2019, Karan Oberoi recounted his harrowing month in jail, where he faced severe conditions and near death. Accused of rape and extortion, he was released on bail after a month. The accuser later faced charges for filing a false complaint, and in 2023, was fined Rs 20,000 by the Bombay High Court.
