He hails from a family of influence: his father, Iqbal Ratansi, is a prominent jeweler in Mumbai, also venturing into real estate with Stelmac Developers Private Limited and later founding Blackstone Housing and Infrastructure Limited. In 2016, Ratansi expanded into film equipment supply with Film Tools, Lights, and Grip, catering to Bollywood's needs.
