Woman withdraws court plea alleging Ravi Kishan

IndiaTimes Monday, 15 July 2024 ()
On Friday, Aparna Soni requested to withdraw her plea in the Bombay High Court, seeking to dismiss an FIR filed against her and her family by Ravi Kishan’s wife, Preeti Shukla. The FIR, filed on April 16, 2024, at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow, accused them of blackmail and extortion attempts totaling Rs 20 crore. Soni had previously claimed Ravi Kishan as the biological father of her daughter. The High Court responded to Soni's withdrawal request in writing, acknowledging her concerns about legal repercussions in Uttar Pradesh. Earlier in the week, she and her family were granted transit anticipatory bail for two weeks, preparing to approach a Lucknow court for further protection from arrest.
