Varun reveals ban on projects during 'Citadel' filming
Thursday, 1 August 2024 () Varun Dhawan was directed to avoid other projects and advertisements after starting work on Citadel: Honey Bunny to maintain confidentiality about his role. Raj & DK, along with co-star Samantha Ruth Prabhu, imposed this condition to ensure his appearance remained secret. Dhawan revealed that the directors were very particular, asking, “Is he starting a new film? Is he shooting an ad?” He was given strict instructions to focus solely on this project, which allowed him to fully immerse himself in the character and enjoy the role more. This is Varun’s first collaboration with Raj & DK and his debut project with Samantha. He praised Samantha’s incredible work ethic despite her personal challenges, which inspired him deeply. At the Citadel event, Varun highlighted how Samantha’s resilience and dedication not only motivated him but also impressed everyone involved, including Raj, DK, Sita, and Amazon.
