Vijay, Ayushmann auditioned for SSR's role in Kai Po Che

At the time, Chhabra was actively searching for fresh talent for Kai Po Che, having been impressed by Rajput's performance in Pavitra Rishta. He approached him with a request for a screen test, and Rajput, displaying his humble nature, readily agreed, saying, βYes, sure sir, I will come.β After auditioning, he secured the role.
