‘Azaad’ mints only Rs 6.55 crores after 6 days of run

IndiaTimes Thursday, 23 January 2025 ()
Ajay Devgn and director Abhishek Kapoor’s film ‘Azaad’ has struggled at the box office, amassing just Rs 6.55 crore globally in six days. The movie opened well but saw a decline in momentum from day four. ETimes rated it 3 out of 5, praising Devgn's and Mohit Malik's performances. However, the period film underutilized its potential, especially in portraying British officers' brutality, which could have intensified audience engagement. Diana Penty delivered a sincere performance, but the standout was the stallion, Azaad.
