Ramya opens up on ‘Emergency’ failure

IndiaTimes Friday, 7 March 2025 ()
At the Bengaluru International Film Festival, Ramya commented on the box office failure of Kangana Ranaut’s film Emergency, attributing its poor performance to weak execution. Despite a significant budget, Emergency earned only Rs 23.75 crore worldwide. Ramya highlighted the contrast with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, another historical film by Kangana that was well-received due to its strong content. She emphasized that the failure was not due to Kangana's personal or political views, but rather the film's overall quality.
