Ranya Rao claims innocence in gold smuggling case

Sandalwood actor Ranya Rao, accused in a gold smuggling case, has written a five-page letter to the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), claiming she was wrongly implicated and alleging physical assault by officials during interrogation. She states she was arrested without a chance to explain and forced to sign documents under duress. Ranya's father, Ramachandra Rao, a top contender for the DG-IGP post, has been directed to take compulsory leave by the state government amidst the ongoing investigation.
