Celebrities join thousands at Restore Nature Now protest

Thousands of people are expected to join the rally in London today. It’s the first time the big mainstream organisations including the National Trust and RSPB have joined direct action campaigners for this Restore Nature Now March. Celebrities like Chris Packham, Emma Thompson and Iwan Rheon are joining the event, with organisers saying they want it be a family friendly affair. Many of the 350 campaign groups will be wearing fancy dress, including crabs, badgers and dragon fly wing costumes. But amongst the colour of this event is a strong message to politicians of all colours not to ignore the nature crisis - with calls for whoever forms the next government to take “bold steps” to tackle it.
