Labour would work with Trump - despite Lammy calling him a 'neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath'
Monday, 22 January 2024 Labour's David Lammy has pledged to work with Donald Trump if both take power in upcoming elections - despite previously calling the 45th president of the US a "woman-hating, neo-Nazi-sympathising sociopath" and "profound threat to the international order".
Republican Presidential Candidate Donald Trump has chosen former critic JD Vance as his vice-presidential nominee. Vance, a 39-year-old Ohio Senator and author, was confirmed as VP pick by RNC delegates.
Despite past criticisms of Trump, Vance has become a strong supporter. After winning his Senate seat with Trump's endorsement in 2022, Vance is now attacking Joe Biden, calling him an "incapacitated president" and accusing Democrats of lying about Biden's health.

Twenty-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, who attempted to assassinate former US President Donald Trump over the weekend, purchased rounds of ammunition prior to the shooting, American media reported on Monday, July 15. According to a senior law enforcement official speaking to CNN, Crooks bought 50 rounds of ammunition before targeting Trump at his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Although Trump did not sustain severe injuries, he suffered a minor wound on his right ear. Crooks was shot dead by Secret Service agents shortly after he opened fire.
