'Transphobe' Rowling's comments labelled 'grotesque' by transgender newsreader
Tuesday, 5 March 2024 JK Rowling has been labelled a "transphobe" for her "grotesque" views on trans rights after she deliberately misgendered Britain's first transgender newsreader, India Willoughby.
Sir Keir Starmer says he wants "a reset of politics" if Labour win the election as he vows to make "further progress" on women's rights in a way "that brings people together". Responding to JK Rowling's accusation that he "abandoned" women, the Labour leader says he is "really proud of the long history of the Labour Party in making real progress on women's rights, passing landmark legislation that has changed millions of lives".
