Train drivers at 16 rail companies to strike next month
Monday, 22 April 2024 Train drivers at 16 rail companies will stage a series of fresh strikes next month in their long-running pay dispute, the Aslef union has announced.
Mick Whelan, general secretary of Aslef, has said his members are βpleasedβ with a new pay deal that will see the end of more than two years of strike action. Aslef union members accepted an offer which included a 5% backdated pay rise for 2022-23, a 4.75% rise for 23-24, and a 4.5% increase for 24-25.
