Watercolour for first Harry Potter first book up for auction at 'record estimate'
Thursday, 2 May 2024 () An original watercolour for Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone - the first book in JK Rowling's fantasy series - has been put up for auction and is estimated to fetch more than £400,000.
Police Scotland says no action will be taken against JK Rowling, after the author criticised Scotland’s new hate crime law. The Harry Potter author lashed out at new measures which came into force on April 1 and challenged police to arrest her.
