200 settlements hit by fires since start of Sudan war as scorched earth tactics intensify
Monday, 13 May 2024 More than 200 settlements in Sudan have been hit by over 300 fires since the start of the country's civil war in April last year, according to new data.
The World Food Programme (WFP) is stepping up its efforts to deliver aid to conflict-affected areas in Sudan. More than 700 trucks of food are on their way to help millions of people at serious risk of starvation.
