'They will adapt': Starmer insists VAT hike will not force private schools to close
Thursday, 27 June 2024 Sir Keir Starmer has said there is "no evidence" private schools will be forced to close due to Labour's plans to impose VAT on them.
State schools will get βevery pennyβ of extra funding from ending the VAT tax break on private school fees, which comes into effect from the 1 January 2025.
