Copenhagen offers tourists 'free lunch' in return for 'climate-friendly actions'
Monday, 15 July 2024 () Tourists thinking of travelling to Copenhagen are being offered a free lunch, kayak tour or museum entrance by "showing proof of green actions".
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen was attacked and beaten by a man in Copenhagen on Friday, just two days before Denmark's general election. The attacker was arrested, but the motive remains unknown.
Frederiksen's office said she was in shock. World leaders, including Frederiksen's colleagues, condemned the assault on the elected leader, expressing concerns over the safety of political figures in democracies and the need for increased security measures.
