Bach has 'full confidence' in French authorities after rail arson attacks
Friday, 26 July 2024 IOC president Thomas Bach says he has "full confidence" in the French authorities after Paris' train network was hit by arson attacks just hours before the Games' opening ceremony.
Arson attacks have scrambled France's high-speed rail network for tens of thousands of passengers, after what officials called premeditated acts of "sabotage" just hours before the Paris Olympics opened. French rail operator SNCF says 800,000 people will be affected.
