Rayner launches expert task force for 'new generation' of towns
Tuesday, 30 July 2024 Angela Rayner has played down the prospect of a backlash among her own MPs at the government's housebuilding push as she launched a task force for a series of new towns across the UK.
Angela Rayner has paid tribute to former deputy prime minister John Prescott following his death aged 86 following a battle with Alzheimer's. The deputy prime minister described Mr Prescott as "an incredible figure in politics" and revealed he would often ring her after PMQs to offer words of encouragement.
