Smiles, disbelief and a 'true miracle story' as students open A-level results
Thursday, 15 August 2024 () Teenagers across England, Wales and Northern Ireland have been sharing their successes after finding out their exam results.
Hundreds of thousands of students in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland woke up to their A-Level results this morning. More than a quarter achieved As and A Stars, slightly up on last year, and still higher than the levels seen in 2019, before exams were disrupted by Covid. But the overall pass rate has seen a small fall. For more than 425-thousand school pupils, it means the offer of a place at college or university. Report by Blairm.
