Police respond to claims Southend is 'no-go zone' after recent violence
Sunday, 18 August 2024 Essex Police said it "categorically rejects" suggestions parts of Southend-on-Sea are a "no-go zone" after a violent incident in the city earlier this summer.
Celebrity couple Michelle Keegan and husband Mark Wright reportedly barricaded themselves in their bedroom during a break-in at their mansion. Essex Police said it received a call at around 6.20pm on Tuesday, and it was reported four suspects had forced entry and searched the address before fleeing. Report by Brooksl.
