Thames Water boss 'untroubled' by prison threat - and says he can save company

Water firm bosses could face jail time and be banned from receiving bonuses for obstructing regulators under proposed new laws aimed at cracking down on the pollution of England's rivers, seas and lakes. The chief executive of Ofwat has accused Thames Water of a "catalogue of failures" over sewage spills. The regulator has proposed fining Thames Water, Yorkshire Water and Northumbrian Water a total of 168 million pounds after conducting an investigation.
