Gareth Southgate resigns as England manager

Gareth Southgate has resigned as manager of the England men’s national football team after almost eight years at the helm. It comes just two days after England’s defeat to Spain in the final of Euro 2024. Government: Prison release only option left on the table

Around 1,700 prisoners are expected to be released on Tuesday from jails across England and Wales in a bid to cut overcrowding.
