China warns Germany over warships in Taiwan Strait
Saturday, 14 September 2024 () Beijing has accused Berlin of undermining security in the Taiwan Strait after German warships transited the waterway that separates the Chinese mainland and the island seen by China as its own territory.
On September 10, Russian President Vladimir Putin, alongside Chinese leadership, inaugurated the "Ocean-2024" naval exercise, marking the largest joint naval drill in three decades. The expansive operation spans the Pacific and Arctic Oceans, the Mediterranean, Caspian, and Baltic Seas, featuring over 400 warships, 120 aircraft, and more than 90,000 personnel from Russia and China. Putin emphasized the drill’s significance in testing combat readiness and modern weaponry integration, while also criticizing U.S. military actions for provoking an arms race and destabilizing global security. The exercise, which includes contributions from the People's Liberation Army Navy, has sent shockwaves through NATO and the U.S., underscoring the growing strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing amid rising geopolitical tensions.

In a significant display of military cooperation, Russia and China have launched joint naval exercises in the Sea of Japan, reinforcing their strategic partnership against U.S. dominance in global affairs. The drills, involving the Russian Pacific Fleet and the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy, are designed to coordinate defensive actions in protecting maritime communications and economic zones. The exercise highlights the growing military alliance between Moscow and Beijing, as both nations seek to counterbalance Western influence in the Indo-Pacific region. This latest collaboration signals a clear challenge to U.S. presence and dominance in global maritime security, showcasing the shifting dynamics of power in the region.
