Monday, 2 December 2024 Meta's decision to not remove three posts relating to the Southport stabbings that sparked UK-wide riots is being investigated by its independent oversight board.
The mother of seven-year-old Elsie Stancombe, who was one of three girls killed at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class in Southport, have said she would “trade places” with her daughter "any day" as she paid tribute to her. Elsie's mother, Jenni Stancombe, said, "If we had been there this wouldn't have happened".
