Wednesday, 4 December 2024 Georgia's prime minister had vowed to punish those participating in the anti-government protests that have engulfed the capital Tbilisi. On Wednesday, it seems, the crackdown began.

Opposition groups and civil society organisations staged a protest rally in front of the Georgian Parliament building on March 31, symbolically choosing Georgia’s Independence Restoration Day.
