Baroness facing suspension for calling peer 'Lord Poppadom' and touching MP's hair
Thursday, 12 December 2024 A baroness has been recommended for three weeks' suspension from the House of Lords for calling a peer "Lord Poppadom" and touching an MP's braids without her permission.
Sue Gray, Sir Keir Starmerβs former chief of staff, took her seat in the House of Lords on Tuesday. Ms Gray was sworn in as Baroness Gray of Tottenham just months after departing her government role.
