Honours authorities 'firmly on the case' amid call to strip convicted rugby star of MBE
Tuesday, 11 February 2025 () The Honours Secretariat is said to be "firmly on the case" amid an MP's call to strip rugby star Stuart Hogg of his MBE following his domestic abuse conviction.
Former Scotland rugby union captain Stuart Hogg has been sentenced to a community payback order after he admitted abusing his estranged wife, Gillian Hogg, over the course of five years. Sheriff Peter Paterson sentenced Hogg to a community payback order with one year of supervision and a second five-year non-harassment order when he appeared at Selkirk Sheriff Court for sentencing on Thursday.
