Sunday, 27 April 2025 () This week's set of elections across England will be a series of firsts: it will be the first big ballot box test of Sir Keir Starmer's premiership and Kemi Badenoch's leadership of the Conservative Party.
A former Labour MP who resigned from the Party over her gender-critical views has told ITV News there's no way back with Sir Keir Starmer in charge. Rosie Duffield has faced accusations of transphobia over her views on gender. Kemi Badenoch said she is pleased to see "positive signals" between US President Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy after the pair met in Rome on Saturday. The Opposition leader said: "The fact that President Trump made the statements that he did yesterday, seeing him with President Zelensky in the Vatican is actually really heartening. And I hope that this is the sign of the situation improving."
