Central PSU jobs down 2.7 lakh over past decade: Govt data
Thursday, 15 June 2023 Over the past decade, employment in Central public sector enterprises (CPSEs) has seen a double whammy of job reduction on the one hand and increasing contractualisation of employment on the other. These trends emerge from an analysis of Public Enterprises Survey reports from 2012-13 to 2021-22.
Labour shadow minister Nick Thomas-Symonds accuses the government of failing "comprehensively" to tackle knife crime, citing the rising cases of stabbings since 2015. Policing minister Chris Philp said he would like to see officers ramp up their use of stop and search to tackle knife crime.
