Friday, 30 June 2023
Observing that drunk driving leads to a higher risk of accidents, injuries and fatalities on the road because intoxicated drivers have impaired judgement, slower reaction time and decreased concentration, making them more likely to cause a severe accident, a 32-year-old man was convicted and sentenced to three months' imprisonment for ramming his vehicle into another car at Pedder Road in 2017. No person suffered injuries in the accident.
