Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla meets opposition leaders, urges them to revisit impasse on Manipur
Tuesday, 25 July 2023 With the Lok Sabha witnessing stalemate over Manipur violence, speaker Om Birla on Tuesday convened a meeting of the leaders of all political parties and appealed to those protesting in the House to consult within their respective parties and revisit the issue.
Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla accepted a no-confidence motion moved by Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi against the Narendra Modi led government. The Speaker said that the time of the debate on the accepted motion will be fixed by him and conveyed to the House.
