UP BJP MP gets 2 years’ jail in 2011 case, likely to lose seat
Saturday, 5 August 2023 A special MP/MLA court in Agra district on Saturday sentenced senior BJP leader and Etawah MP Ram Shankar Katheria to two years of imprisonment in a 12-year-old case. He has been convicted under IPC sections 147 (rioting) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt). The court also imposed a penalty of Rs 50,000 on the ex-Union minister.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, has been found guilty in the Toshakhana case and has been sentenced to three years in jail. The PTI chairman has been arrested from his Zaman Park house in Lahore, his party said in a tweet.
