Manipur tribal women group seeks withdrawal of remarks by solicitor general in Supreme Court

A women's organization of the Kuki-Hmar-Zomi community has called on Solicitor General Tushar Mehta to withdraw a claim made in Supreme Court that most of the unclaimed bodies of ethnic violence in Manipur belong to "infiltrators". The group claims the accusation is "unbecoming, unacceptable and abhorrent" and hurtful to families who have been unable to perform last rites of their loved ones.
