TV channels go berserk, sensationalise cases: Supreme Court

IndiaTimes Tuesday, 15 August 2023

TV channels are fined just Rs 1 lakh ($1,351) for such behaviour, deemed wholly inadequate by the Supreme Court. The government has been called to respond to the matter raised by the News Broadcasters Association, with the Supreme Court judge calling for the self-regulatory body to be "more effective".
