India, ASEAN underscore commitment to strengthen economic ties
India and ASEAN reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen economic ties in the 20th ASEAN-India Economic Ministers' meeting. Both sides agreed to review the ASEAN-India Trade in Goods Agreement signed in 2009 and discussed challenges like COVID-19, climate change, and financial volatility. The review will commence with defined modalities, aiming for conclusion by 2025, pending guidance from the India-ASEAN Leaders' Summit in September.
