Two days after SC sought response from the centre and UP on a plea by the Hathras gang-rape victim’s family for relocation and rehabilitation outside UP, TOI visited the village in Hathras where the 19-yr-old Dalit girl was in 2020, dragged into a bajra field allegedly by four ‘upper caste’ men, raped, her tongue cut off and left to die. At her house, two girls, 5 and 3, the victim’s nieces, are home-schooled as they are not allowed to step out.
