Chandrayaan-3: Pragyan's navigation cameras weigh just 125gm each, can tolerate high radiation, low temperature

IndiaTimes Thursday, 31 August 2023
The Isro has released pictures of its Vikram lander on the lunar surface. The images were taken by the onboard cameras of the Pragyan rover, which rolled out from the lander via a ramp. The photos also show two payloads descending onto the lunar surface for experiments. The navigation cameras used by Pragyan were developed at the Laboratory for Electro-Optics Systems (LEOS) in Bengaluru. These lightweight cameras are capable of withstanding lunar radiation and extreme temperatures. The images confirm the successful landing of Vikram on the Moon.
