Govt to support 75 lakh women in SHGs become ‘lakhpati didis’ in 2023-24

The government has decided to support 75 lakh rural women associated with self help groups and related livelihood generating activities under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission (DAY-NRLM) to become “lakhpati didis” in the ongoing 2023-24 financial year by enabling them to earn at least Rs 1 lakh per annum. It has set a target of enabling two crore women to become “lakhpati didis” in the next three years.
