G20 acknowledges insufficiency in global climate ambition

The G20 countries, under India's presidency, emphasized on Saturday the lack of global ambition and implementation in addressing climate change in order to meet the temperature targets stated in the Paris Agreement. The union has urged those states that have yet to align their NDCs with the Paris Agreement's temperature targets to rethink and strengthen their 2030 targets within the context of their specific national circumstances by the end of 2023.
