IndiaTimes Saturday, 9 September 2023
Jaisalmer, in western Rajasthan, experienced its hottest September day on record with temperatures reaching 43.5 degrees Celsius. The previous record was 43.3 degrees Celsius in 1949. The hot weather is due to an anti-cyclonic circulation over western Rajasthan, caused by the departure of the monsoon season.
