According to the Namibia-based Cheetah Conservation Fund, the cheetah's incredible journey in the first year of their reintroduction in India has been marked by both failures and accomplishments, and the project is on schedule. The CCF has worked closely with Indian officials to reintroduce cheetahs in India. Laurie Marker, the creator of CCF, has been important in developing plans for the introduction and has visited India numerous times since 2009.
