Mayawati urges government to remove provisions that delay implementation of women reservation

BSP national president Mayawati has expressed concerns about the women's reservation bill, stating that it contains provisions that will delay women's reservation in Lok Sabha and state assemblies for at least 15-16 years. She believes that the bill is being used to gain votes in upcoming elections rather than with genuine intentions to support women. Mayawati has also called for a separate quota for women from SC, ST, and OBC communities. She criticized the Congress party for pushing for a separate quota for their own political gains.
