Fatima, India's first Muslim woman teacher, has been largely overlooked in history. Writer Reeta Ramamurthy Gupta's book, 'Savitribai Phule: Her Life, Her Relationships, Her Legacy,' sheds light on the bond between the Phule couple and Fatima. Historically, women have struggled to receive recognition, and Gupta hopes to change that narrative by highlighting Fatima's contributions.
