High court: Should runaway bride be barred from filing dowry, harassment plaints?

To discourage false dowry complaints, the Punjab and Haryana High Court is considering whether a girl who runs away from home and marries against her parents' wishes should be prohibited from filing a complaint against the boy for harassment and dowry. The court believes that this would reduce the number of false FIRs filed in cases of marital discord.
