The Gujarat high court has refused to halt the demolition of a bungalow once occupied by cricketer Vijay Hazare. The Vadodara-based Heritage Trust, which filed the public interest litigation, was reprimanded by the court for not having enough evidence to support their claim that the 121-year-old bungalow should be declared a heritage property. Hazare's son has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting that the house be preserved and converted into a cricket museum.
