Maneka Gandhi claims ISKCON sells cows to butchers; temple authority hits back

A controversy has arisen following allegations made by BJP MP and former Union minister Maneka Gandhi against the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), accusing the organization of selling cows from its gaushalas (cow shelters) to butchers. In a video, Gandhi claimed that ISKCON establishes cow shelters and benefits from government support, including land grants, and alleged that they exclusively sell their cows to butchers, despite their public image of advocating a reliance on milk.
