Calcutta HC judge asks CBI if it can probe ex-SC judge

Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay of Calcutta HC questioned whether the CBI could investigate a former Supreme Court judge who may have had an understanding with an accused in the Bengal primary teacher recruitment scam. The judge instructed the state to not obstruct the ongoing investigations by the CBI and ED and directed the immediate transfer of a CBI special court judge.
